International Peace Day
"For every minute you remain angry,
you give up sixty seconds of peace of mind."
Ralph Waldo Emerson
On Wednesday 31st January we celebrated Peace Day, among the values promoted on the day we already shared many within our school. Such values are: respect, thoughtfulness and consideration towards others.
In order to mark the day, we listened to and sang different songs relative to the occasion and we thought of different ways in which we can be kind and help other people aiming to make the world a better place.
Then all the pupils, together with some parents and teachers joined together on the playground to hold hands and make a human bridge. Children took part in different ways. Then, all together wrote a peace message that was tied up by them all around the school so they could be shared.
