Reading words (1C)

Most children don’t start actually “reading” until around 6 years old. Reading aloud is an important way for teachers to help our students learn vocabulary and to stimulate them. It is a process that teachers implement only when they feel that students are ready.

As you can see in the video, Julia is showing the words to her classmates so they can read them aloud. This is a good way to increase reading and improve their pronunciation.

In the 1st English Grade reading activities, words are short with some key vocabulary.
